Mayors Forum 2025

The 14th Mayors Forum of the World Cities Summit, hosted by the 2020 Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize 2020 Laureate city of Vienna, brought together 61 international mayors and city leaders from more than 50 cities. Held from 2 – 4 July 2025, dynamic discussions throughout the three-day programme were guided by the theme “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Local Solutions, Global Impact”. The Forum also saw participation of industry leaders and academics, international and supporting organisations, and WCS Young Leaders.
Delegates explored the shared challenges that cities face today, including delivering affordable housing, providing reliable and efficient municipal services, rethinking urban energy transition and managing urban water for resilience. This year, a special panel was also convened at the Mayors Forum to highlight the importance of city networks and demonstrate how cities can continue to facilitate knowledge sharing, encourage collaboration and deepen partnerships through these international networks.
City Dialogues Vienna, organised by Singapore Management University in partnership with Urban Innovation Vienna, was a partner event of the Mayors Forum 2025.
