Asia Infrastructure Forum

Asia Infrastructure Forum (AIF) 2026 convenes under the theme "Bold Actions for a Sustainable Asia" at a moment when the infrastructure conversation has fundamentally shifted. Sustainability is no longer primarily an environmental agenda—it now encompasses economic competitiveness, supply security, and climate resilience as integrated priorities.
Against this backdrop, AIF 2026 brings together senior government officials, institutional investors, developers, financiers, industry leaders, and practitioners to move beyond incremental progress towards transformative action. The forum aims to mobilise capital, strengthen knowledge exchange, and forge strategic partnerships that can accelerate project delivery and close infrastructure gaps constraining Asia's long-term growth and resilience.

The IURC Asia and Australasia programme is pleased to announce its upcoming Thematic Regional Workshop at the World Cities Summit (WCS), taking place in Singapore from 14–16 June 2026. Held alongside one of the world’s leading events for urban innovation and policy dialogue, this high-level workshop will convene city representatives, regional authorities, and international experts to exchange best practices and strengthen interregional cooperation.
The IURC regional workshop is a follow-up to the IURC global event held at the Barcelona Smart Cities Expo World Congress in November 2025. It will consolidate selected Communities of Practice implemented since December 2025 and support cities and regions in gathering more ideas and inspiration to scale pilot project activities stipulated in their UCAPs and RCAPs.
The IURC programme will focus on advancing sustainable urban development, fostering green and digital transitions, and building resilient, inclusive cities through peer learning and strategic partnerships. IURC’s participation as a Strategic Partner at WCS 2026 will assist the EU-AA- cities and regional governments in generating greater visibility of their cooperation at a global level, both at the IURC associated event and at the main WCS sessions.
The workshop will provide a valuable opportunity for participating cities to deepen collaboration, showcase successful initiatives, and contribute to shaping future joint actions under the IURC framework.
If you are an IURC pilot city/region interested in attending, don't hesitate to get in touch with your IURC CoP manager or the project team at info@iurc.eu.

Voices for the Voiceless is a powerful documentary by Ocean Geographic that brings to life the urgent realities of a rapidly vanishing Arctic. Set against collapsing sea ice, the film weaves together the voices of scientists, Indigenous leaders and changemakers, guided by renowned oceanographer Dr Sylvia Earle, alongside the journey of a young pianist performing on drifting ice as a symbol of hope and urgency. Through striking visuals and compelling storytelling, the film highlights the Arctic’s critical role as the planet’s climate engine, transforming scientific insight into an emotional call to action. More than a documentary, it is a global rallying cry, urging collective responsibility to protect fragile ecosystems and inspiring action for a more sustainable future.
