CHEC Port City Colombo

Port City Colombo (PCC) is an extension to Sri Lanka's commercial capital Colombo with 269 ha reclaimed from the sea. It is a US$ 15 billion joint venture between the Government of Sri Lanka and CHEC Port City Colombo. Being Sri Lanka's first ever Special Economic Zone (SEZ) enacted by Parliament, it can operate in any designated foreign currency, offering services promoting Foreign Direct Investments, export of services, ease of doing business with single window facilitation and attractive incentives. PCC is Sri Lanka’s first planned integrated urban development. The Master Plan is developed in consultation with SWECO of Sweden, Atkins of UK, Surbana Jurong of Singapore and developed by China Harbour Engineering Company.
