NUS Cities

As part of the National University of Singapore (NUS), a top global university recognised for its excellence in transformative education and high-impact research; NUS Cities is a collaborative and transdisciplinary centre hosted within the College of Design and Engineering. Integrating diverse expertise across built environment, engineering, sustainability, social science, data science and public policy, NUS Cities collaborates with global and local stakeholders to address contemporary urban challenges and navigate urban complexity.
We are committed to translating our vision through the integration of three pillars:
- Education: With a suite of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programmes, we equip future urban leaders with systems thinking and real-world problem-solving skills.
- Research: We advance translational urban research focusing on liveability, sustainability, and resilience, underpinned by a robust framework of social science, systems and complexity science, and climate science.
- Advisory: By drawing upon a vast network of expertise, we support public and private sector organisations in Asia-pacific and beyond with strategic insights, capacity building and actionable urban solutions.
Anchored in Singapore’s unique position as a living laboratory for urban development, we foster meaningful collaborations with international partners, public agencies, and private sector leaders to generate actionable knowledge and scalable urban solutions. Through the integration of education, research and advisory, NUS Cities advances systems-based approaches that support more liveable, resilient, and sustainable cities in Asia and around the world.
